ENOC manages and operates 154 ENOC and EPPCO service stations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) , reaching an estimated 90 million transactions annually. ENOC petrol stations fall under the operations of UAE government. The stations are located across the country, meaning it faces harsh temperatures during peak summer conditions.

Systemair had a strong working relationship with the clients, and the project benefited from having strong collaboration and cooperation from design until the execution of the project, which included petrol stations across Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.

Systemair came into the project aware that the client was unhappy with the current air curtains for the following reasons:

  • Operational failures due to high demand for frequent opening and closing of the doors.

To demonstrate the reliability of proposed solutions, Systemair simulated site conditions the site using CFD analysis to substantiate the air curtain performance is ideal for the requirement. The scope of the analysis included wind velocity, air curtain velocity profile, location and other factors. The mock-up was done for three stations initially and rigorously operated to ensure its operations amid heavy use.
