FSL flaps have a robust construction and are manufactured from magnelis steel sheets.

Factory-mounted

In order to save time and costs, it is recommended that the FSL is ordered factory-mounted on the fan.

Available in different sizes, FSL flaps are designed to protect the DVV smoke and heat extract fans from the snow load. DVV with FSL flaps is suitable for installation on unheated buildings with an SL 1000 snow load requirement. To cope with what is required of them, they are manufactured from magnelis steel sheet.

FSL flaps are designed for DVV-XS, XL, XM, XP/F400, and F600. FSL can also be mounted on the HSDV fan that is fitted with an outlet silencer. DVV units with FSL flaps as accessories have the same rating as the basic unit, but also have a snow load rating of SL 1000 according to BS EN 12101-3:2002 Smoke and heat control systems - Specification for powered smoke and heat exhaust ventilators.

For easier and safer installation, it is recommended to order DVV units with the FSL flaps already mounted in the factory prior to delivery. It’s also possible to mount the FSL flaps after the installation.
