Brake Resistor 11kW, IP54 #246606

for Danfoss frequency inverter VLT® HVAC Drive FC 102When the speed reference of a frequency converter is reduced, the motor acts as a generator and the brake of the frequency converter is applied. When the motor is operating as a generator, it supplies energy to the frequency inverter, which is collected in the DC link. The function of the braking resistor is to act as a load on the the DC link so that the braking power can be absorbed by the braking resistor. If no braking resistor is used, the voltage in the DC link of the frequency inverter would continue to rise until the fuse is tripped and the circuit is interrupted. The advantage of using a braking resistor is that high loads can be braked quickly.  The compact brake resistor has an aluminum housing with pre-assembled brackets for wall mounting. It is designed for a high pulse load of 60 times rated load, and therefore suitable for horizontal and for vertical applications.  Technical ParameterMotor output: 11,0 kWPower supply: T4, 380-480 VACOperation cycle in percent: 10%Braking resistor: 56 OhmPower loss: 0,68 kWProtection class: IP54Dimensions (HxWxD): 400x124x120 mmWeight: 3,5 kg
