As the temperature rises, the natural resistance of the heating element increases while its current conductivity and power output decreases until a state of equilibrium is reached and the current can barely flow anymore. Thanks to this self-regulating characteristic, PTC heating element cannot overheat, which makes this heating technology particularly safe and reliable.  ENERGY-EFFICENT The power output of a PTC duct heater depends on the heat extraction. The heating element automatically readjusts temperature and increases its power if a lot of heat is extracted. The power decreases again and hardly any current flows when the heating element reaches the maximum temperature. This dynamic power adjustment makes PTC heating elements especially energy-efficient.  SIMPLE CONTROLThe duct heater can be controlled linearly with an analogue signal 0 – 10 V or with Pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal. All terminals for connection can be easily accessed in the electrical connection box.  EASY TO INSTALLThe PTC duct heater can be installed horizontally or vertically in the outdoor or supply air ducts (DN125). The connection box must face upwards or be rotated 90° to one side.  PARTICULARLY SAFE High operational reliability and energy efficiency without any additional switching elements. Thanks to the PTC effect, the heating element dynamically adjust its power without exceeding a maximum temperature. PTC duct heater is particularly safe and do not require any additional thermal fuses.The product has an error signal relay that is located on the control board. The error signal relay can be connected to the ventilation system to indicate an error.
