Smoke-free escape ways increase the chances to rescue people in case of fire.In the serially available version the hatch is intended for emergency use only (without EMC protection, without PTC in motor).Dual-use additional safety elements are necessary to reduce risks associated with hatch closing. The product has been tested up to Re 10000 cycles of open-close. For installation on the tops of buildings with snow load SL 1000 (SL 1250 for size 1250) and wind suction load WL 1500, the casing consists of a double metal layer with mineral wool insulation. The hatch casing is constructed of ZM (ZnAlMg coated) steel, while the hatch cover is made of AlMg3. Service switches, separate for motor and actuator(s), are serially installed on the hatch casing. Separate power supply for the fan and hatch actuator(s) is required, with electrical connections located within the service switches. When selecting the AES exhaust air and smoke extraction control accessory, please consider the serial connecting capability of the fan's service switch (as per instructions). Higher connecting capability is available upon request. It is recommended to start the fan 20 seconds after starting the actuator for cover opening to ensure vertical exhaust of hot gases. For non-ducted appliances, a protective grid for the inlet is available as an accessory. When using inlet cone ESD-F, a short duct between the cone and MRH is required due to the cone's diameter. The maximum nominal power of the inserted fan is 37 kW.

The Motorised Roof Hatch (MRH) unit is designed for the insertion of an axial smoke and heat extraction fan, with the motor positioned within the airflow. It has been rigorously tested and certified for the extraction of hot gases up to 400°C for 2 hours (F400) or as per the specifications of the installed fan. The serial version is intended solely for emergency use, opening via an actuator to enable vertical extraction in the event of a fire.This unit is suitable for installation on the roofs of buildings with snow load ratings of up to SL 1000 (or SL 1250 for size 1250) and wind suction load ratings of WL 1500. It is designed for surface mounting on flat roofs. The casing features a double metal layer with mineral wool insulation, with a wall thickness of 120 mm and a cover thickness of 150 mm. The hatch casing is constructed from ZM (ZnAlMg coated) steel, while the hatch cover is made of AlMg3.Service switches for both the motor and actuator are installed serially on the hatch casing, with electrical connections housed within these switches. It is recommended to start the fan 20 seconds after activating the actuator to open the cover, ensuring the vertical exhaust of hot gases. The inlet side connection conforms to Eurovent ½ standards, and an exhaust protective grid is included.
