Protection

The DVV series is designed for smoke and heat extraction and facilitating safe egress in the event of an accident. This can also be used to support a safer working environment under normal working conditions.

The unit’s robust and reliable build is facilitated through a combination of steel and aluminium, making it resistant to the most challenging of operational environments.

Efficiency

Each DVV unit is built around a backwards-curved impeller design fashioned from galvanised, respectively stainless steel, increasing efficiency and optimising performance.

Construction

The DVV series is a centrifugal roof fan designed to handle continuous vertical discharge. Units are designed to be durable with a pre-galvanised steel frame protected by a seawater-resistant aluminium casing. This expands the line’s application to a range of demanding professional, coastal environments. For C4 corrosion category and higher, additional surface protection of exposed parts is recommended.

Operation

The series is able to handle continuous temperatures of up to 120°C through regular use and 400°C or 600°C for 120 minutes. The units are also compatible with the Systemair accessory range which include silencers, shutters, roof cowls, motor protectors and more.

Motor

Motor outside of the air stream. The unit is built around a single-speed IE3 motor and carries an octagonal form factor. Respectively with a two-speed IE1 motor. The unit is also available in different motor types and sizes. Motor cooling with fresh air via an air duct.

PTC thermal protection serial built-in motor.

Control

Service switch serial on cooling duct. For speed control of single-speed motors use a combination of frequency inverter and appropriate filter to motor side (sine or du/dt), respectively observe instructions. At frequency-controlled units, additional EMC protection could be needed (see also items with EMC protection - marked EMC, other are available on request).

Installation

The DVV fans are for outside installation.
