Systemair supplied one of the most iconic stations in Saudi Arabia's metro line mega-infrastructure project with over a hundred fans to ensure the optimum and reliable air quality in the parking lot and station terminals.

A collaborative mega-structure project

ArRiyadh New Mobility Consortium (ANM) developed the Qasr Al Hokm Station. The company is led by the Italian construction group Salini Impregilo and includes partners Larsen & Toubro (India), Nesma (Saudi Arabia), Ansaldo STS (Italy), Bombardier (Canada), Idom (Spain) and WorleyParsons (Australia).

The Consortium was selected to deliver 41.8-kilometre Line 3 of the Riyadh Metro. Line 3 will form part of the six-line mega project that will run for a total length of 176Km across the city.

The requirement was for a wide variety of high-quality and reliable fans to ensure utmost reliability through rigorous operations in high-ambient conditions.

Extensive product portfolio

In view of these requirements, Systemair supplied:

  • AXC(B) smoke extract axial fans

  • KTEX inline ducted explosion proof fans

  • DV-EX Roof explosion-proof fans

  • AXC medium pressure axial fans

  • MUB EC square duct fans

  • AJR 315(B) axial tunnel fans

Systemair fans were chosen and considered to be the most suitable fans for the station's needs. The products were favoured for being able to offer more efficient power consumption compared to other fans in the market, which was crucial for the project's energy-intensive requirement.
