Systemair has a well-established footprint in India with three state-of-the-art production units strategically located in Greater Noida and Hyderabad. With a total production area spanning around 20,000 square meters, these facilities epitomize innovation and sustainability in the ventilation industry in the region. The Systemair India head office in Greater Noida is LEED Platinum certified. The production facilities in Greater Noida and Hyderabad are modern and well-invested, with 690+ well-trained staff members having a strong focus on quality.

At the heart of Systemair’s operations in India lies a commitment to sustainability. Through cutting-edge technology and forward-thinking practices, Systemair India produces air distribution products, air handling units, fans, and fire safety products that not only meet the highest standards of performance but also contribute to reducing CO2 emissions in the environment.

The factory is also equipped with a Research and Development and testing facility, which contributes to the high level of perfection in product performance.

How it all began

A journey through the last 50 years

1974

1974

LHG Kanalfläkt AB

LHG Kanalfläkt was founded and production commenced in Skinnskatteberg. At first, only fans were assembled.

1976

The first sales company, LHG Kanavapuhallin was started in Finland.

1978

The first price list was created and published with data that has been measured using the bag test.

1980

1984

Residential units

Production of Metsovent, the first residential unit with heat recovery started in Skinnskatteberg.

The unit was named after Ilmar Mets, a design engineer.

1985

The German fan motor manufacturers Ziehl-Abegg and ebm-papst who were suppliers from the

beginning became partners through their Swedish subsidiary Ziehl-ebm.

1988

Kanalfläkt delivered 50 fans for the Eiffel Tower’s 100-year anniversary.

1990

1992

Frico AB

Frico AB OTC-listed Frico AB, specialized in air curtains and fan heaters, was acquired.

1993

LHG Kanalfläkt became ISO 9001 certified.

1996

A facility in Bouctouche, Canada was acquired for production for the North-American market.

1998

Diffusers

Diffusers Europair in Södertälje, a manufacturer of diffusers, was acquired.

LTI Lüftungstechnik, Windischbuch, Germany, became the second-largest production unit and central warehouse.

Sales companies in the UK, Poland and Singapore were renamed to Systemair.

2000

2000

Danvent in Denmark, a manufacturer of modular air handling units for larger buildings was acquired.

2001

Systemair became the name for the whole group. Sales companies in Hong Kong, Hungary and Ireland were formed.

2003

The sales company Meijdijk Ventilatietechnik in the Netherlands was acquired.

2005

Gerald Engström, founder of Systemair, was named Entrepreneur of the Year in Sweden.

2006

Matthews & Yates, leading manufacturer of axial fans in the UK was acquired.

2007

Awarded the Great Export Award by The Swedish Trade Council.

Systemair was listed at the Nasdaq OMX Stockholm index.

PRESENCE IN INDIA

Started operations in India with Direct presence through Swedish Trade Council.

Asokdas Damodaran and other team members were recruited.

2009

Acquisition of air distribution products company Ravi Star.

Establishment of sales offices.

Establishment of an assembly facility at Alwar, Rajasthan.

Acquisition of IAPL- manufacturer of air handling units.

The area of Production unit in Hyderabad was expanded.

Eurovent Certification of AHU.

AMCA membership.

UL Certification for fire dampers.

2014

Inauguration of Green Factory in Greater Noida.

Inaugurated by our Chairman Gerald Engström.

Becomes the first LEED Platinum rated Green Factory of Systemair.

A bigger production unit was established in Hyderabad.

Eurovent Hygienic Certification of air handling units.

AMCA Accreditation of LAB.

The Laboratory received AMCA Accreditation for AMCA 210 and 300 air and sound

performance measurements standards.

ISO 14001:2015 Certification.

Awarded Green Pro Eco Label for air handling units and fans.

Inauguration of Unit 2 in Greater Noida in May 2023.

Involves manufacturing of air distribution products and tunnel fans.

The factory in Hyderabad was significantly expanded.

50 Years of excellence
