The Western Station 3B2 was developed by ArRiyadh New Mobility Consortium (ANM). ANM is led by the Italian construction group Salini Impregilo and includes partners Larsen & Toubro (India), Nesma (Saudi Arabia), Ansaldo STS (Italy), Bombardier (Canada), Idom (Spain) and WorleyParsons (Australia).
The consortium was selected to deliver the 41.8-kilometre Line 3 of the Riyadh Metro. Line 3 will form part of the six-line mega project that will run for 176 kilometres across the city.
The requirement was for a variety of high-quality and reliable fans to ensure utmost reliability through rigorous operations in high-ambient conditions.
Because of these requirements, Systemair supplied:
AXC (F) - smoke extract axial fans
XC(B) - AXC(B) - smoke extract axial fans -
AXCBF-EX - medium pressure axial explosion-proof fans
AxZent - thermo centrifugal fans
BKF/F400 - centrifugal rectangular duct fans
KVO 160 – circular duct fans
