The casing contains a robust flanged mounting frame for installation into ducts.The frame assures the sturdiness of the controller and facilitates the mounting to ducts.The blades are manufactured from extruded aluminium. The blades are opposed action. The blades are equipped with rubber gaskets. The gaskets eliminate leakage in the closed position.The blade axes are in self-lubricating polymer bearings. The blades are linked by a cog/rod positioning mechanism.The modular VAV control device consists of an aluminium measurement probe, polyurethane measurement impulse tubes, an airflow transmitter with a static sensor, a modular control unit and an actuator.The aluminium measurement probe is connected to the VAV controller with flexible polyurethane impulse tubing. The special design of the multi-point averaging cross-flow sensor assures accurate air flow readings.The measurement impulse tubes connect the measurement probe with the airflow transmitter.There is no air flow through the impulse tubing.OPTIMA-SI-FCS...BM has 19 mm thick polymer foam insulation around the casing. The insulation is covered by a galvanized steel protection sheet.
