Easy to set up

The S-BM2’s front board surfaces come fitted with threaded inserts making it easy to fit grilles or sheet metal duct flanges. In addition, the mechanism and actuator are enclosed by the damper casing and two covers on each side.

Resistivity to the fullest

As manual intervention "MA" classified smoke control damper the S-BM2 can operate even when fully enclosed in fire. Up to first 25 minutes you can still change the SHEVS setup. This "MA" classified damper can be utilized as "AA" classified smoke control damper.

Built for performance

S-BM2 smoke control dampers are made from sturdy galvanized sheet metal, calcium silicate board, and fireproof carbon fiberglass – all non-hazardous substances to help further prevent the spread of smoke and fire.

S-BM2 Smoke control dampers are CE certified following the Construction Products Regulation according to EN 12101-8. Tested according to EN 1366-10, EN 1366-2 and classified according to EN 13501-4.

S-BM2's body length is only 240 mm and has no blade overhangs. The pressure level is 2 thus presents under-pressure limit of 1000 Pa and overpressure of 300 Pa.

The smoke control damper together with its installation form an inseparable part of the fire resistivity rating.

Materials

S-BM2 is made of galvanized sheet metal, calcium silicate board, fireproof carbon fiberglass, polyurethane foam, and alkaline earth silicate wool.

Casing

The casing is made from non-asbestos calcium silicate board. Casing tightness is Class C according to EN 1751.

Seals

The closed damper is sealed by silicate wool to prevent the spread of heat and smoke.

Blades

Made from non-asbestos calcium silicate board with polyurethane foam seals. Blade tightness is Class 3 according to EN 1751.
