Geniox Tera Direct Flow Units

Optimise your data centre with direct free-cooling configurations and ultra-low operational costs

Flexible cooling solutions for hyperscale Data Centres

Geniox Tera Direct Flow Units are specifically engineered for hyperscale data centres. Modular in design, Geniox Tera D units seamlessly scale and adapt to your data centre's unique needs. They offer direct free-cooling configurations and optional heat recovery modules, ensuring optimal cooling efficiency and minimal operational costs.

  • Cooling capacity up to 400 kW and airflow up to 100,000 m3/h

  • Low CAPEX and OPEX

  • Modular design for many installation configurations

High efficiency

Geniox Tera D units utilise outdoor air to cool data centre equipment, reducing or eliminating the need for energy-intensive mechanical cooling systems such as chillers. This results in a significant reduction of energy consumption and operational costs.

Uptime

Geniox Tera D units enhance data centre reliability by reducing the number of mechanical components prone to failure, simplifying maintenance and lowering the risk of cooling system-related downtime.

Walkable clusters

Optionally, units can be installed in clusters using a Lego principle, eliminating the need for service corridors between and creating a breathing wall system with even air distribution.

Ready for extreme cold

Geniox Tera D units offer an Arctic configuration option, specially designed for installation in extreme cold conditions. This configuration includes a four-stage arctic damper and additional insulation for optimal performance.

Humidifier

Wide range of supply air humidifiers is available.

Water cooling coil

The standard design with high water temperature significantly reduces mechanical support energy consumption and opens up a wide range of solutions for heat reuse. The coil can be customised for specific air and water temperatures.

Filters

High quality panel and bag filters ensure low initial pressure drop and compact dimensions. Wide range of filter classes available.

Mixing chamber

Dampers are low leakage with aerodynamically profiled blades featuring tightness class 4C.

EC fans

The latest generation EC fans guarantee the lowest power consumption, as well as precise airflow control and reduced noise levels. Optionally, EC fans can be equipped with harmonic filters.

Casing and handles

  • The 60 mm thick insulation minimises heat loss and thermal bridges, allowing energy savings.

  • The handles, hinges, and inspection windows are designed exclusively for and by Systemair, ensuring a long lifetime.

Resiliency options

Fans can be oversized to cover needed capacity if one fan fails. Double power feed intake and UPS for controller ensure uninterrupted operation.

Control system

The unit is supplied with a complete and fully integrated control system. The system controls cooling capacity by adjusting the DC fan speed according to differential temperature control.

Valve

Optionally, the unit can be equipped with 2-way, 3-way valve or independent pressure valves to ensure accurate capacity control and energy saving.

Focus area

In environments where outdoor air quality and humidity levels are favourable, direct free-cooling stands out as the most energy efficient air cooling solution for data centres, boasting minimal pPUE (partial Power Usage Effectiveness).
