Geniox Tera I units are engineered to deliver ultra-efficient cooling with minimal carbon footprint. Utilising outdoor air and the natural cooling effect of water evaporation, these units offer reliable performance and low energy consumption. Geniox Tera I units are ideal for a range of climates and can operate in free-cooling mode all year round in most European locations. This significantly reduces the need for mechanical cooling.

Casing and handles

  • The 60 mm thick insulation minimizes heat loss and thermal bridges, allowing energy savings.​

  • The handles, hinges, and inspection windows are designed exclusively for and by Systemair, ensuring a long lifetime.​

Energy efficient EC fans

The latest generation EC fans guarantee the lowest power consumption, as well as precise airflow control and reduced noise levels. Optionally, EC fans can be equipped with harmonic filters.

Plate heat exchanger

  • Specially designed for evaporative cooling​

  • B·Blue coated aluminum fins guarantee high heat transfer efficiency and long-term corrosion resistance. ​

  • Turbulent geometry of the fins promotes uniform distribution of water over the entire surface, resulting in increased cooling capacity and reduced water consumption.​

Cooling coil

Chilled water or direct evaporative (DX) refrigerant coil with copper tubes and aluminum fins as standard. For maximum efficiency and no dehumidification the coils are designed with a sensible heat ratio of 1.

Irrigation system

  • Nozzles design guarantees 100% surface coverage with a smaller amount of water.

  • AISI 316l stainless steel drain pan

  • UV lamp for antibacterial treatment

  • Conductivity control

  • Built-in water filter reduces water refresh.

Control system

A fully integrated control system sets unit capacity by adjusting the DC fan speed according to differential temperature or to differential pressure control. Cooling mode is selected depending on outdoor air conditions. Wide range of communication protocols available. 

Resiliency options

Optional double power feed intake and UPS battery for controller ensure unitnerruptable work.

The smart control system prioritises the optimal operating mode, minimising annual power and water consumption based on the data centre’s location, outdoor conditions, and specific requirements.

System uptime is crucial in data centres. Geniox Tera I is designed for fast and easy service access, ensuring cooling with minimal interruption.

Geniox Tera I units comply with ASHRAE regulations for IT equipment, enabling year-round free-cooling in most European areas. In hotter climates, free-cooling can be paired with a cooling coil for optimal energy efficiency and reduced environmental footprint.
