Flexible Use
PRF-EX fans are designed for challenging environments where explosive atmospheres can occur. Which is why they are tested according to ATEX directive 2014/34/EU – to ensure they’ll perform as intended after installation.
In areas where contamination, corrosive gases or other problematic elements are present, fans face special challenges. Our PRF-EX series has been specifically developed for applications in the food, electronics, medical and chemical industries. Thanks to the use of solid and carefully selected components, they operate reliably in unfavourable conditions.
The rotating position of the unit’s casing, which is made from UV-resistant and waterproof PE-el (PPs-el for DN75), can be easily adapted. This makes the PRF suitable for various configurations.
Change of position Left-Right – please inform supplier when ordering.
PRF-EX could be used for temperature classes T1 to T4. Exhaust of potentially explosive gases in Zone 1 and Zone 2, as well as Groups IIA, IIB and hydrogen is also possible.
Sintered casing made of UV-resistant PE-el (PPs-el for DN75), waterproof. The casing can be easily adjusted through turning it (standard position is GR360, GL360 for DN75). The pedestal is manufactured of galvanized steel (powder coating steel for DN75).
The PRF-EX fans use single-flow impellers made out of PP-el (PPs-el for DN75, GFK for 500D4) with effective blade geometry, statically and dynamically balanced and paired with corresponding IEC Ex db motor.
Explosion proof motor Ex db (Ex for DN75) with terminal box Ex eb on the motor.
Integrated PTC thermistors, to be connected to a motor protection device.
Speed controllable by frequency converter.
Except PRF EX 75 - fan can’t be used for inverter duty. To be driven by an inverter the motors must be tested with a precise type of inverter and certified for that type.
PRF-EX fans can be placed on the floor using the mounted pedestal.
For preventing vibration to the duct is recommended to use flexible connection.
