Incredible accuracy

The OPTIMA-LV-R operates accurately across low to medium airflow velocities, but performs equally accurate with incredibly low airflow velocities and low duct pressures – as low as 0.2 m/s and 2 Pa.

Full control

OPTIMA-LV-R comes with a full set of operation and override functions, for full and total control at any time. Some models also come with an existing Bus communication port for Modbus RTU or BACnet MS/TP protocol.

Built in protection

In situations where the airflow velocity is very low, the OPTIMA-LV-R airflow controller’s algorithm kicks in to protect the actuator from mechanical damage.

How the OPTIMA-LV-R works

OPTIMA-LV-R’s measurement probe enables the dynamic pressure to be continuously read, which is then calculated and compared with the setpoint.

If there is a difference, the actuator automatically adjusts the damper position so that the airflow remains at the setpoint value.

This allows OPTIMA-LV-R to operate accurately at very low airflow velocities (as low as 0.2 m/s) and low duct pressures (≥ 2 Pa).

Non-insulated, single-skin sheet metal casing

Optima-LV-RI

Insulated, double skin sheet metal casing with closed cell insulation foam mat in-between, which acts as noise and thermal insulation

Non-insulated, single-skin sheet metal casing

Bus communication port for Modbus RTU or BACnet MS/TP protocol

Casing

The circular casing is made from a single layer of sturdy galvanised steel.

Damper blade

The damper blade and blade shaft are also made from galvanised steel, and the blade shaft can be turned in reinforced polymer bearings. In addition, the damper blade and connection sleeves come with rubber gaskets.

Insulation

For insulated OPTIMA-LV-R models, the circular casing is a double layer, which is filled with a hermetic cell foam mat for insulation against noise and heat.

Measurement probe

The measurement probe is metallic and is connected to the tubing by polymer.

Actuator/controller

The body of the actuator/controller is made from reinforced polymer.

Leakage class

OPTIMA-LV-R has a leakage class of 4C.
